It's not hard to ask... and if I feel your intended use is reasonable, I'll most likely say yes! A little courtesy will take you far.
Just because you can right click and save an image to your local hard drive does not give you the legal right to publish that image in any form, including on a web page. Most ISPs and web hosts frown on this sort of activity.
