About sales notices, I’m rethinking how I want to proceed. I may use the blog or CeramicAnimalCollectors to announce sales but then link or reference where the sale item has actually been posted. Facebook, the Model Horse Sales Pages or eBay would be the most probable venues.
Shopping
There’s no fancy shopping cart here and in most cases, I will have ONE of any given item. If you see something you like, contact me, let me know what item(s) interest you. Ask any questions you may have about any book or figurine and I’ll do my best to answer. If you need time to decide, I can hold an item for a few days.
Once you’ve made an inquiry and told me you wish to buy, I will respond to let you know the item is yours or that it is has already been sold or is on hold for another. Once you are notified you may purchase an item or items, I require payment by PayPal within 3 business days unless we have agreed otherwise.
I reserve the right to offer any item to another collector who has expressed interest after the aforementioned payment period has passed.
Trades
I usually don’t take trades because I’m not adding to my collection so much these days. Of course there are always exceptions! I would absolutely consider an OF china Horsing Around Babette draft mare in blue roan!
Payment
I take payment primarily through PayPal. I also take personal checks at my discretion and United States Postal Service money orders.
Shipments on items paid for by personal check may be held until I’m satisfied the check has actually cleared my bank.
Return Policy
If you aren’t happy with something you’ve bought from me, let me know within 7 days of arrival and a return may be arranged.
As shipping breakables gets expensive, please read descriptions closely, view all pictures carefully and be sure the item is exactly what you are looking for!
Return postage, packing materials and insurance will be YOUR responsibility as I do my best to provide high quality pictures and descriptions for your buying decisions.
Returned items need to be packed just as carefully as I packed them, using a new outer box if the original was damaged in shipping.
Shipping
Domestic shipment
Prices posted on the site will include USPS domestic shipping for the stated service within the continental United States of America. Delivery confirmation is included and I will let you know your tracking number once your item is on the way.
I offer shipping discounts for multiple item purchases, provided the items can be packed safely for shipment.
International shipment
I’m generally willing to ship internationally. Let me know your location and I will give you an adjusted price quote if I feel I can safely ship the item to you. I do not undervalue items on customs forms or mark them as gifts.
Shipping Damage
Fragile ceramic and porcelain horses require special care to pack and ship. I have a lot of experience with this and in most cases, your item will arrive in exactly the condition stated. If it does not, contact me.
If your shipment arrives damaged, we’ll need to file a claim. If possible, snap a digital picture of the box and the damaged contents and email it to me, so that I can see what went wrong. Also, please keep the box, all packing materials and the broken item or items in case the Postal Service needs to see them.
Restorations
Some items I sell may have simple restorations or repairs done by myself or others. This will always be stated in the description.
I cannot guarantee any repairs or restoration work on an item will hold up forever. Use reasonable care and most will last for years of enjoyment. Try not to expose a repaired item to prolonged heat or cold or to extreme temperature changes. Avoid immersing the item in water or running water over the repair area. If you need to remove soil, go lightly with a soft, very slightly dampened cloth on any restored areas. Do not use any solvents or abrasives!
